We can offer activities or talks including:

The Pilgrim Fathers.

Learn why the Pilgrims started the 'Separatist' movement. Discover who they were, how the area was a 'hot bed' of modernist ideas and how they were helped by many others. Follow the story through to their journeys to Holland and America and discover the impact this had on world history.

The age of enlightenment after the middle ages.

The Pilgrims developed ideas about freedom and religion that were at odds with tradition. The impact was to change the country, bringing it out of the 'Middle Ages' and creating an age of change and learning. Discover some of the impacts on the Church, on the Monarchy  and how the creation of the State affected ordinary people from such things as the Enclosures Act.

Art in the 16th Century.

A hands on workshop where you will learn about artistic media, pigments and art in the 16th Century. The highlight will be working with clay to produce your own piece of 'Pilgrim Art'

We also provide catering; a buffet to work alongside the talks and activities or a full menu in our partner coffee shop.

We  can provide teachers packs and have an experienced teacher who can deliver content to meet the National Curriculum.

Our speakers include Sue Allan and Adrian Gray, researchers and authors of books on the Pilgrims and religion.
